Bio |
I consider myself a geographer that has the greatest job in the world, educating young people about the world, opening their eyes to the beauty of nature and of different cultures. I have a degree in physical geography with an emphasis in environmental analysis as well as a degree in education. When I'm not in the classroom, it's a safe bet I'm outside on my mountain bike or hiking the trails around Kentucky. |
Outdoor Experience |
I grew up in a family that was going camping almost every weekend. That along with the experiences I had in the Boy Scouts was the spark that ignited my love for the outdoors. I have been lucky to have visited many of our Nation's National Parks. My favorite has to be Yosemite Valley with Half Dome and Yosemite Falls. I have also reached the Roof of Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro, last year as a member of the 2008 Xpedition. |
Physical Conditioning |
I try to stay in pretty good shape. I get in the pool on a regular basis and I lift weights almost every night. I also ride the trails around the parks in Louisville on my mountain bike and try to get out on a hike at least once every two weeks. |
Xpectations |
I am excited about the potential of this project and hope to continue the work of providing a means for young people to learn about the science of climate change so they can make an informed decision about the condition of our planet and it's resources. |
