I am a grade 9 learner. I live in Rongo, Kenya and have been sponsored by St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Louisville, Kentucky to participate in this expedition.

It is the belief of the persons leading the Rongo Project at St. Matthews that an experience of this kind will give both students and teachers in the area new insights and connections that will contribute to the abilities of students within the areas of science content, critical thinking, research process skills, problem solving skills and will extend their ability to benefit themselves, their local environment and to the African continent.
